Matt Wilson

Co-Founder

Matt Wilson turned professional in 2001 with French World Tour Team la Francaise des Jeux. During his 11 years at the top of the world cycling, he built a reputation as one of the sport's most trusted domestiques and leaders.

He helped teammates to multiple World Cup, Grand Tour and Tour de France wins, including a Green Jersey in 2003 with teammate Baden Cooke, as well as winning the 2004 Australian Road Cycling Championships and the 2007 Herald Sun Tour.

 After retirement from professional cycling in 2012, Matt was offered a position as a Sports Director with the newly created WorldTour Team Orica-GreenEDGE (now Jayco-Alula), a position he held until 2020.

 Matt is co-Founder of the successful Australian Cycling Academy which has fielded men's and women's teams in the National Road Series and delivered a National Road Series event - Cycle Sunshine Coast since 2021. Matt is also a Co-Founder of sports management company ProcuSports and the ProVelo Super League.
