Q&A
My dad and older brother used to race. When I was a kid I got sick of sitting around watching them, so gave it a crack. I have been hooked ever since.
My first race was out at Ipswich. I was dropped before I could clip in, so did the whole thing solo.
I have two jobs: I work as a coach at AUS Cycle Coaching and also conduct research in cognitive neuroscience at the Queensland Brain Institute. My current project investigates how neural oscillations (essentially rhythmic waves of brain activity) regulate brain function.
I am living my cycling dream at the moment. I get to race domestically and internationally whilst living in Brisbane.
