Cycling Development Foundation - Shaping Future Australian Cycling Talent

Based in Perth, WA, Brad Hall and his team are creating one of Australia’s most holistic cycling programs, emphasising athlete wellbeing and development both on and off the bike. Their focus is not just on race wins, but on fostering long-term growth for riders, and Round 5 of the ProVelo Super League is a key opportunity in their mission.
The Grafton to Inverell, and Mt Mitchell to Inverell classics are among Australia’s oldest and most challenging point-to-point races. Known for their demanding terrain and duration, this weekend offers riders a chance for both physical and mental triumph.
For the Cycling Development Foundation, attending these races is an investment in rider growth. Despite the high costs, often more than three times those of their Eastern state counterparts, Hall believes it’s a critical opportunity for his athletes. The challenging courses allow the riders to hone essential mental skills that will serve them in every aspect of their cycling careers and beyond.
The team’s commitment to nurturing young talent also includes supporting U19 riders in seeking distance exemptions when it aligns with their development needs. This approach ensures that riders gain the experience and exposure necessary for long-term progression, reflecting the team’s holistic philosophy
As the Grafton to Inverell approaches, the team’s dedication to rider development and well-being continues to set them apart, proving that there’s more to cycling than simply crossing the finish line first.
