Jack Ward Signs with Lidl-Trek Future Racing Following ProVelo Super League Success

Jack Ward is bound for the WorldTour after winning the 2025 PSL SumUp Mens title

The ProVelo Super League is proud to congratulate Jack Ward on signing a 2.5-year contract with Lidl-Trek Future Racing! This marks an exciting new chapter in Jack’s career following his standout performances in the inaugural 2025 PSL season.  

At just 20 years of age, Jack was quick to assert himself across all rounds of the PSL, consistently showcasing his combined climbing ability and sprint power. Over the season, he accumulated 512 points, earning the overall SumUp Men’s League title, the Jayco U23 GC, several stage podiums, and the coveted Detour champion of the mountain jersey. 

Jack’s impressive talents were promoted to global audiences via the PSL’s live SBS broadcast and YouTube channel where he caught the eye of the many international teams that tuned in to witness Australia’s exciting young cycling talent in action. 

Jack expressed his appreciation for the opportunity and support from the PSL and Team Jayco-AlUla who generously offered a Stagiaire contract for the U23 winner, supporting the PSL’s mission to provide a pathway to the WorldTour.

The ProVelo Super League launched in 2024 with the vision to nurture the growth of road cycling in Australia, attract new audiences and develop a sustainable and innovative new model for Australian road cycling.

Through its first season In 2025 it successfully established itself as one of Australia’s most innovative, private equity backed, elite national sports leagues. 

The inaugural PSL season hosted across Australia saw 321 cyclists representing 14 nationalities compete  across six rounds across Australia from January to March, strategically timed to launch emerging athletes into European summer racing opportunities.

PSL Co-Founder, Matt Wilson was delighted with the success of the league’s first year and congratulated Jack on signing with Lidl-Trek Future Racing.

Season two of the PSL will launch in January 2026 with the league’s ‘SA Kick It’ as a feature of the e Santos  Tour Down Under Festival.   With plans evolving for significant growth next year and beyond, the stage is set for the world to continue to watch our nation’s best young riders as they race for glory and seize their chance to shine on the international stage.
