Australia’s elite road cycling league, the ProVelo Super League (PSL) returns for its highly anticipated second season in 2026, building on the success and momentum of its debut year.

The launch season of the PSL successfully solidified its positioning as the “Road to the World Tour” with more than a dozen PSL riders successfully securing WorldTour Team connected opportunities including the entire podium of the SBS Women’s League and the SumUp Men’s league Champion and runner up.

With 321 athletes participating in the inaugural season from 14 Nations, the league is quickly establishing its status as a path to the best teams in Europe and following on from Season 1, competing riders can be sure the ‘world is watching’ to identify the next crop of cycling talent to progress to the World Tour.

The 2026 season will feature Australia’s top men’s and women’s teams competing against international teams across the 6 event, 10 week calendar of high-impact racing.   The league is open to wildcard teams who wish to enter individual events and individual riders can race the entire season or enter select events.

“Season One proved there’s a strong appetite for a modern, broadcast-driven elite road cycling product,” said PSL Co-Founder Matt Wilson.

“Season Two will build on that foundation, refining the racing format, strengthening partnerships with host cities, and creating even greater opportunities for both Australian and international teams, riders and fans.  We’re fielding strong interest from new teams from here and abroad and it's pleasing to see that the PSL is stimulating new investment and participation at the elite end.   We think the Season 2 calendar presents an enhanced program with some challenging new stages across the tours and we’re excited to be providing a platform for our teams and riders to launch the season on the final weekend of the Santos Tour Down Under.”

The ProVelo Super League continues to collaborate closely with AusCycling, ensuring strong alignment with national competition frameworks and athlete development pathways.

“The PSL has quickly established itself as an important platform for rider progression and fan engagement,” said AusCycling CEO Marne Fechner. “We’re excited to see its continued growth and look forward to seeing the next crop of PSL riders showcasing  their talent across Season 2”.
