Squadron Energy Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic | SumUp Men's Preview
The men’s Grafton to Inverell course remains unchanged from the iconic route traversing the Gibraltar range, through Glen Innes and into Inverell. At 230km and 3500m of climbing, the famous “Grafton” has earned its place as one of Australia’s toughest races.
SBS Men’s League
The men’s league promises to be exciting from both a race and League overall standpoint. League leader Jack Ward (Team Brennan p/b TP32) will be absent this round, opting instead for the mountain bike National Championships. This opens the door for two of his closest competitors Cam Scott (CCACHE X BODYWRAP) and Zac Marriage (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) to close the gap.
For Saturday’s event, Cam Scott enters as one of the heavy favourites. With a strong CCACHE team around him, a resilient riding style and an incredibly fast finish he will be a hard one to beat. That being said, the likes of Team Brennan’s Tristan Saunders, Brendan Davids and guest rider Mark O’Brien will no doubt pose a big threat, as will classics specialists Ben Carman (Cobra9 X Leigh Surveyors) and Zac Marriage (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing)
