PSL Round 4 | Harbour City GP SBS Women's Event Preview
Round 4 of the ProVelo Super League is set to ignite Sydney this Friday evening with the Harbour City GP! Let’s dive into the current standings in the SBS Women's League.
The fourth round of the ProVelo Super League has seen some changes to the course, with the West Head Time Trial and Akuna Bay Road Race substituted for the Pheasant Wood Road Race. Spanning three stages from Friday to Sunday, the three circuits provide fast, flowing courses and will likely favour the sprinters.
SBS Women’s League
We have seen strong sprinting competition so far in the SBS Women’s League, and we should be in for some exciting finishes with all the major players here in Sydney for Round 4 of the PSL.
Sophie Marr (Praties Cycling Team) will don the League leaders jersey for the first time and will no doubt be looking to consolidate her lead here. She will be challenged by a very strong Meridian Blue p/b 99 Bikes team who will likely back their top sprinter Keely Bennett, as well as Butterfields Ziptrak Racing’s Odette Lynch who returns to the PSL after missing the Tour of Tasmania.
In the race for the League’s overall title and U23 classification, the Praties Cycling Team have a tight grip on the lead. Sophie Marr is backed up by her team-mates Talia Appleton and Sophia Sammons. How they manage the top talent is constantly evolving, but one thing is for sure, they’re in a great place to take out the inaugural PSL title in 2025.
Cronulla Criterium
Stage 3 of the Harbour City GP will take place along the Cronulla foreshore, offering the community an exciting chance to experience the fast-paced criterium racing up close.
