McLardy McShane BOMAD's Goals

McLardy McShane BOMAD's goal is to work with ProVelo and the wider community to motivate and empower girls and women alike to pick up a bike and ride, and to continue to participate and compete in the sport they love. To McLardy McShane BOMAD, cycling is a way of life, and riding a bike is a life-skill; it should neither start with us, nor end with us. McLardy McShane BOMAD want to see women and girls learning to lift each other up and be each other’s advocates, champions and heroes, and have fun along the way.

McLardy McShane BOMAD share a lot of similarities with our major sponsor, McLardy McShane Insurance Advisors. McLardy McShane BOMAD's plan was to offer riders, who would otherwise have competed as individuals, the benefits of a team to race the ProVelo Super League. In this way, their team model is unique as the plan was to structure a network around quality people; riders, rider support, and sponsors, with similar values and goals, which will now take them all across the country together.

As a small team, McLardy McShane BOMAD understand that building success requires more than a financial contribution and we hope to get their people, sponsors and supporters absorbed in our PSL journey and living it with them. When you ask the public what they like about riding bikes, they will tell you that it is the people you meet, the friends you make, the adventures you go on, achieving goals, both big and small. McLardy McShane BOMAD's riders would add to this list the training and life of an athlete – the racing is the absolute reward.

Just as we are, McLardy McShane are passionate about female sport and love being able to get behind women’s sport, understanding there are significantly more challenges with funding and opportunities. They love backing young people and supporting them in achieving great things and their partnership to get behind a Women’s Elite Cycling Team has been seamless.
