Aberdeen McLain
I am a second-year U23 cyclist based in Brisbane, Australia. My passion for sport began when I was young, where I had the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities, thanks to my parents’ encouragement to pursue what I love. Prior to cycling, I spent nearly four years competing at both state and national levels in triathlon, which laid a strong foundation for my athletic development. In 2024 I was fortunate to have opportunities to race in Asia and Europe and I look forward to returning to Europe for a full European season with Nouvelles Cycling in the UK in 2025, following the ProVelo Super League. Outside of cycling, I work part-time as an Assistant in Nursing, with plans for future study in this field.

In Australia would be Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast hinterland, but favourite place I’ve ever ridden would have to be north of Verona in Italy, around the mountain ranges by San Mauro di Saline.
Waking up just before my alarm 😩
I was working as an Assistant in Nursing up until the end of last year but I am now currently working as a barista more locally to home to for better around my training.
Chocolate milk first! Meal would generally be some salty savoury pasta or rice dish
Good ol classic would be I love rock&roll by Joan jett and the blackhearts, but also can’t go past Eminem
I’m a bit of a snob so it changes but I do love a double shot long black with a sugar. Or a your classic flat white
World Tour is the dream and the Goal 100%. Racing any of the Grand Tours would be incredible but winning a classic or monument would be truely insane. I’d love to do it.
