Alexander Hewes
Alex Hewes is a rising junior cyclist from the Gold Coast who has been competing since 10 years old. His cycling journey started with junior training sessions at the Gold Coast Cycling Club, where he quickly made friends and cultivated a strong passion for the sport.
Now at 17, Alex has shown remarkable versatility, performing well in sprints, time trials, and hilltop finishes. His tactical awareness and consistency have resulted in numerous successes, including several junior national titles in both track and road cycling. In 2024, Alex earned a bronze medal in the Omnium at the Junior Track Cycling World Championships held in China.
With a goal of racing professionally and obtaining a contract with a World Tour team, Alex is enthusiastic about what lies ahead. He is excited about returning to European competition in 2025 after a successful debut season in 2024, where he supported teammates in UCI race victories and secured a win in Belgium.
