Nine Juniors Earn Selection for 2026 UCI Road World Championships
Congratulations to the nine junior riders selected to represent the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the 2026 UCI Junior Road World Championships. The team will take on the world’s best in Montreal, Canada, this September as they proudly race for Australia on the international stage.
The selected team features some of the nation’s most promising young riders, with each earning their place through outstanding performances across national and international competition throughout the season.
Among the selections are 2026 Hertz ProVelo Super League Billigence U19 classification winners Neve Parslow and Connor Wright, who have both enjoyed standout seasons. Parslow’s impressive campaign included national titles in both the road race and time trial, a victory in the Hertz ProVelo Super League Billigence U19 classification and a podium finish at junior Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Wright also delivered a standout year across both road and mountain biking disciplines, claiming the men’s Billigence U19 classification in the Hertz ProVelo Super League, while continuing his strong international form with a stage victory and overall general classification (GC) win at a UCI Nations’ Cup event in Czechia earlier this year. His season has also included UCI-level victories across both road and mountain bike racing, highlighting his versatility and consistency across disciplines.
The team also features several riders who have demonstrated their potential on the international stage, including Oceania champions Chloe Bowen and Megan Moore, junior road race national champion Benjamin Coates, dual Oceania champion Alistair Forsyth, junior criterium national champion Ollie Jirovec, Lachlan Stewart and Annie Kleywegt, who recorded a race victory in Belgium this season.
The junior individual time trials will be contested on September 22, followed by the junior men’s road race on September 24 and the junior women’s road race on September 25.
