PSL 2026 is set to be the biggest season yet, with more teams, global attention and a clear pathway from Australia to the World Tour.

The ProVelo Super League (PSL) returns in 2026 with significant growth in teams, riders and momentum, reinforcing its proposition as Australia’s premier road cycling league and a genuine Road to the World Tour.

Season 2 will feature 18 registered teams, up from 14 in the inaugural season, marking a major step forward for the league. The expanded lineup includes 11 men’s teams and 7 women’s teams, with six new teams joining the field as interest in the PSL continues to build both nationally and internationally.

Among the new men’s teams confirmed for 2026 are McCarthy Homes – QCF, Falcons Pedal Mafia Racing, VIS p/b K.O.M.P, Pinnacle Performance x Royal Bikes, and RCA Bikes Online. On the women’s side, Irish team Nstrmo x Attaguer x CCACHE adds further depth and competitiveness to an already exciting field.

The growth also reflects a broader uplift across the league, with several returning teams rebranding and strengthening their programs. Meridian Bike Bug (formerly Meridian Blue) and Team Redcat (previously Praties) headline the refreshed line-up, demonstrating the league’s ability to encourage and support sustainable team development.

PSL Co-founder Matt Wilson said the expansion highlights the league’s rapid progress and long-term vision.

“The upcoming season represents a major step forward for the ProVelo Super League. Our planning is on track, registered team numbers have grown significantly, broadcast exposure is expanding, and we’ve made meaningful improvements to our courses. This progress reflects our vision to elevate road  cycling in Australia and provide a genuine pathway to the highest levels of the sport.”

With the 2026 season theme “The World is Watching”, the league continues to showcase emerging Australian and international talent on a global stage. Fans can watch tomorrow’s stars today, with the ProVelo Super League broadcast live and on demand on SBS in Australia, Sky New Zealand and live streamed on www.provelosuperleague.com for fans outside of Australia and NZ.

As excitement builds toward the season opener, fans are encouraged to join the action, experience premium trackside racing through the Echelon Club, and be part of a league that is redefining road cycling in Australia.
