HERTZ PROVELO SUPER LEAGUE ANNOUNCES 2027 SEASON CALENDAR

Continuing with a six round format across six States and Territories, cycling fans will enjoy elite road cycling across the Australian summer. 

The league is excited to announce the return of one of Australia’s most respected tours of the past, with the Tour of Canberra returning to the elite national road cycling calendar.   The tour will feature four stages of elite racing across the Nation’s capital from February 26 - 28.    

The Tour of Canberra comes into the season calendar replacing the Harbour City GP which will remain in league consideration for future seasons.  

The 2027 Hertz PSL season commences at Australia’s biggest cycling festival, the Santos Tour Down Under as a feature event of the opening festival weekend.  The SA Kick It will feature exciting new stage routes and additions in 2027 to be announced in coming weeks which will elevate the PSL opening round to a new level. 

Featuring an elite women’s and men’s division, Australia's top men's and women's teams will go head-to-head with international teams and riders, across a challenging, diverse set of racing conditions including renowned heritage events, the Tour of Tasmania, Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool and the Grafton to Inverell with the League champions awarded in the Q Tour season finale in the Moreton Bay hinterland.

Established with a vision to establish a sustainable pathway for emerging Australian road cyclists, the PSL has delivered, with 31 Teams and a total of 341 athletes participating in Season 2. 

“The Hertz  PSL has proven itself as an essential pathway to the WorldTour.  Since launch in 2025 more than 15 riders have secured a WorldTour connected opportunity off the back of their achievements across the league season.  

The quality and competitiveness of the racing evolved significantly from Season 1 through Season 2 and we are expecting another step up in 2027.  Our 3rd season will see our best calendar of stage racing to date with some pretty iconic destinations embedded into the calendar.’ said Matt Wilson, Co-Founder of the league. 

Wilson added “We are equally excited by the league’s growing fan base which is underpinning an expanding commercial platform backed by free to air broadcast, increasing media distribution and significant audience growth across all platforms.  As we launch our third season we’re really expecting substantial growth across all key metrics in 2027”
