Setting off in humid conditions for the Samsonvale Time Trial, Katelyn Nicholson (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) posted a very fast early time, just over 13 minutes for the 8.6km rolling course.
The high placed general classification riders were the last to set off, and the top performances came thick and fast. Lauren Bates (Meridian Blue p/b 99 Bikes), third in yesterdays criterium, stormed home to set the fastest time of 12:53. Alli Anderson (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) took second, only four seconds behind while her team-mate Sophie Edwards secured third.
