The ProVelo Super League wrapped up its inaugural season with a nail-biting finish, with Alli Anderson (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) proving the power of consistency. Meanwhile, Zac Marriage (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) mirrored his teammate’s success, capturing the final PSL round at the Q Tour.

SBS Women’s League

The ProVelo Super League wrapped up its inaugural season with a nail-biting finish, and it was Alli Anderson (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) who proved the power of consistency. In a dramatic finale at the Q Tour in the Moreton Bay hinterland, Anderson stormed up the Campbells Pocket climb, leaping from third to first place on the final stage to clinch the general classification. Anderson secured the overall victory in the final two stage races of the PSL, an excellent result for the South Australian.

Sophie Marr (Praties Cycling Team) made history as the inaugural PSL champion. With her victory, Marr not only secured the overall title but also earned herself a Factor Ostra VAM and a well-deserved contract with the prestigious Liv AlUla Jayco Continental team.

Marr's dominance throughout the 2025 season was evident as she consistently shone in stage races, including an impressive overall win at the Tour of Tasmania. A stand-out rider of the PSL, her exceptional performances throughout the season reflect her versatility and determination

This achievement marks a significant milestone in Marr’s career development, and she is eager to seize the opportunity presented by the PSL, propelling her closer to her dream of competing at the professional level.

SumUp Men’s League

Zac Marriage (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) mirrored his teammate Anderson’s success, capturing the final PSL round at the Q Tour. After a commanding Stage 2 time trial victory, Marriage delivered an outstanding climbing performance in the Moreton Bay hinterland to secure the general classification title. His remarkable consistency and determination throughout the season capped off an impressive year for one of the men’s league’s most talented riders.

Jack Ward (Team Brennan p/b TP32) finished second overall in the Q Tour, securing enough points to be crowned the inaugural ProVelo Super League champion. At just 19 years old, Ward has been a revelation, showcasing remarkable versatility across a variety of terrain. His efforts in the men’s league were exceptional, taking out the SumUp Men’s league overall title earning himself a Factor Ostro VAM, as well as the Jayco U23 classification which will see him join World Tour team Jayco AlUla as a stagiaire later this season.

It is a leap forward in the career of Ward who is being touted as a future star of Australian cycling, and no doubt he will have many new fans following his performances so far in 2025.
