The history-making first ProVelo Super League event will kick off from January 18-20 with the event to be known as the “SA Kick It”.

The SA Kick It will debut as a three-stage event as part of the Santos Tour Down Under festival program. The Santos Tour Down Under celebrates a remarkable 25 years as the opening event of the UCI WorldTour next year.

On Saturday, January 18, PSL team and riders will launch the 2025 league season racing the clock in a time trial on the iconic Willunga Hill climb in the picturesque McLaren Vale.  A climb synonymous with some of the most epic stages in the history of the Santos Tour Down Under.   The PSL Time Trial for women and men serves as a precursor to the Health Partners Stage 2 of the Santos Women's Tour Down Under from Unley to Willunga Hill.

On Sunday, January 19, the PSL action moves to the city of Adelaide with the league's first criterium of the season to be hosted on the purpose built criterium circuit at Victoria Park on the fringe of Adelaide’s city centre.   The Stage 2 criteriums will be broadcast nationally as the league's first live national broadcast of the 2025 season on SBS.

An action-packed three days of racing will conclude with a road race at The Bend Motorsport Complex on Monday, January 20 at Tailem Bend.  The challenging 7.7km GT circuit, inspired by some of the world’s most iconic tracks, is the second-longest permanent racetrack in the world, ensuring an exhilarating atmosphere for spectators.

PSL Co-Founder, Matt Wilson praised the SA Government and the Santos Tour Down Under for recognising the PSL’s vision for the Australian road cycling pathway and for opening its arms to the PSL “The Santos Tour Down Under has had an immeasurable impact on the sport of road cycling in this country and have always demonstrated its commitment to supporting the Australian pathway for our emerging talent.  Their vision aligns very much with ours and we are incredibly excited that our PSL teams and riders will experience the thrill of racing at the peak of the Australian summer of cycling.  We’re looking forward to showcasing the best of our local and international emerging talent in South Australia at our first ever event.”
