Kieria Will turned Alyssa Polites triumph into heartbreak! | S2

Fresh off her time trial win and in the yellow leader’s jersey, Alyssa Polites looked set to make it two from two on Stage 2 of SA Kick It. Rounding the final bend in front, the Meridian Blue rider raised her arms in celebration. But Kieira Will wasn’t done. The track specialist launched a stunning last-gasp surge to snatch victory on the line, turning Polites’ triumph into heartbreak in just a few metres. It was a brutal reminder of cycling’s golden rule: never celebrate until you’ve crossed the line.
