Hertz PSL Tour of Tasmania Stage 4 Highlights
Drama on the streets of Launceston as final stage flips the script.

Overall leader Sophia Sammons started heavily bandaged but cleared to race and determined to defend her lead. Threatening weather brought mid-race rain before the course dried for the finale. An aggressive criterium saw several GC contenders lose contact and be pulled from the race around City Park.
In the bunch sprint, favourite Keely Bennett looked set to win before Ruby Taylor (Team Redcat) surged through the centre for a thrilling stage victory — finishing up her Tour of Tasmania campaign. Sammons finished safely in the main field to secure her maiden national-level GC title and stamp her authority on the 2026 Hertz ProVelo Super League.

Oliver Bleddyn began the stage leading Connor Wright by 19 seconds, with Team Brennan controlling the race. The script flipped when a six-rider move gained time and Brennan’s Levi Hone bridged across, the gap stretching to 40 seconds to put him in the virtual GC lead.
On the final lap, Pat Eddy attacked before Tasmania’s Reuben Page-Brown closed the move and railed the wet final corner to claim his first PSL stage win. Hone’s time gain and bonus seconds elevated him to the overall victory at the final moment, ahead of Olympic gold medallist Bleddyn.
The League now turns to Round 3 — the Lochard Energy Women’s Warrnambool Classic and the Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool — as the Road to the World Tour continues.
