The Harbour City GP has blown the league open with only two rounds remaining. As the battle for the overall title becomes increasingly tense, here is where we have landed after round four.

SBS Women’s League

Sophia Sammons (Team Redcat) has held onto the League leaders jersey, but only just.

A commanding performance from Sophie Edwards (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) in the Harbour City GP saw the Olympic representative take the overall win for the round and close the gap to Sammons to just five points. It was another reminder that Edwards’ level, when the racing turns difficult, is among the best in the league.

Behind the leading pair, Edwards’ teammate Odette Lynch and NSTRMO x Attaquer x CCACHE’s Isla Bradbury remain firmly in contention. Lynch has consistently proven to be the fastest finisher in the field, while Bradbury’s strength has been evident throughout the series, particularly when the racing opens up on longer circuits.

With only the Mt Mitchell to Inverell and the Q Tour remaining, there are still plenty of points available. Both races offer very different challenges, and the rider who can navigate them best may well decide the title.

For now, the margins are tight and the pressure is building.

Let’s Go Motorhomes Men’s League

Levi Hone (Team Brennan_) arrived at Round 4 in the League leaders jersey, holding a narrow advantage over teammate and Olympic gold medallist Oliver Bleddyn.

Hone, the young rider from Echuca, has been one of the breakout performers of the season. But in Sydney it was Bleddyn who took control. A dominant Harbour City GP campaign, including the overall victory and a sweep of the jersey classifications, propelled him into the League lead with a useful buffer heading into the final rounds.

Bleddyn has looked increasingly comfortable as the series has progressed, continuing to underline his ambitions of stepping toward a professional road career.

Behind the Team Brennan_ duo, Cobra9 x Leigh Surveyors’ Oliver Sims sits third overall and remains within reach of Hone. With the U23 standings also in play, the next two rounds promise a compelling battle between some of the country’s most promising climbers.

The next test comes quickly. The league now turns to one of the most demanding races on the domestic calendar, the Squadron Energy Grafton to Inverell, where the long climbs and selective finale could reshape the standings once again.
