A New Under 17 Division for Aspiring Young Cyclists

The ProVelo Super League (PSL) is proud to announce the launch of PSL17s, a new racing division for junior under 17 riders. This exciting pathway focused initiative provides a platform for junior riders to race on fully closed circuits and exposure to high level competition in a professional league setting.

PSL17 will debut as part of the upcoming ProVelo Super League season, offering junior athletes the opportunity to race on the same circuits and under the same conditions as elite competitors. The new division aims to foster talent, build confidence and provide racing experience in a structured and supportive environment.

“PSL17s is a natural extension for the league. It is more than just a race category - it’s a pathway for young riders to grow, compete, and dream big,” said Matt Wilson, Co-Founder of the PSL.

“We’re committed to nurturing the next generation of cycling champions. PSL Teams will see the launch of PSL17s as a great talent identification opportunity for their future season rosters. We know the world is watching the PSL, and I am sure the WorldTour Teams will pay close attention to the PSL17s to identify Australia’s next generation of WorldTour potential stars.”

The PSL17s calendar will feature three thrilling rounds, each consisting of two competitive stages, hosted in parallel with the below PSL Rounds:

  • SA Kick It
  • Harbour City GP
  • Q Tour

The PSL17s will include separate categories for boys and girls.

Registration for PSL17s is now open. The schedule and registrations link can be found here: https://provelosuperleague.com/registration/psl17s
