Team Brennan rider Alistair Forsyth has continued his impressive European campaign, claiming consecutive victories for Australia in the UCI Junior Class Nations Cup, further cementing his status as one of the country's brightest young cycling talents.

Fresh off winning the overall GC at the prestigious G.P. F.W.R. Baron in Italy just a week earlier, the 17-year-old Victorian added another international victory to his growing résumé by taking out Stage 4 of the LVM Saarland Trofeo in Germany – one of the most important races on the UCI Junior Nations Cup calendar. Across the two races,

Forsyth produced a perfectly timed finish on the 112.6km final stage from Habkirchen-Frauenberg to Reinheim, outsprinting Norway's Sindre Orholm-Lønseth and Slovenia's Luka Maksimović to claim the stage victory. The win also propelled him into fifth overall in the general classification against the world's best junior riders.

Forsyth's rise has been rapid. Hailing from Ballarat in Victoria, he emerged through the Australian junior ranks with strong performances for Ballarat Sebastopol Cycling Club. He kicked off 2026 by placing third at the Australian Junior Road Championships and runner-up in the national junior time trial. Racing for VIS p/b K.O.M.P., Forsyth went on to claim the Under 19 general classification at the ProVelo Super League's SA Kick It event and victory in the elite criterium at the QTour, signalling his readiness for international competition.

Australia fielded a strong squad across the European Nations Cup block, with fellow PSL young guns, including Ben Coates, Ollie Jirovec, Oliver Ward, Connor Wright, Lachlan Steweart and Maxx Nuspen, also earning selection for the ARA Australian Cycling Team. Forsyth's stage victory came as part of a strong overall showing from the Australian team, with Ollie Jirovec, Connor Wright and Ben Coates all finishing inside the top 20 overall

Following Saarland, attention now turns toward the Medzinárodné Dni Cyklistiky Nations Cup tour in Slovakia (June 19–21) and ultimately the UCI Road World Championships later this season, with riders continuing to accumulate valuable international racing experience against the world's best juniors.

With consecutive Nations Cup victories already in 2026, Alistair Forsyth is another PSL competitor who has established himself as one of Australia's most exciting young road cycling prospects.
