Australia's cycling team for the upcoming Commonwealth Games has been announced, featuring a mix of proven international performers and exciting riders preparing to make their Games debut.

Among the men's endurance squad, all five selected riders have raced in the ProVelo Super League: Blake Agnoletto (VIC / Equipe continentale Groupama–FDJ), Oliver Bleddyn (SA / Team Brennan), Thomas Cornish (NSW / Team Brennan), Conor Leahy (WA / Team Brennan), and James Moriarty (QLD / Cache x Bodywrap).

For Agnoletto and Bleddyn, selection marks an exciting Commonwealth Games debut after establishing themselves as two of Australia's most promising endurance riders. They join experienced campaigners Cornish, Leahy, and Moriarty, who all return after winning medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The women's endurance team also features a strong mix of experience and emerging talent. Commonwealth Games gold medallists Georgia Baker (TAS / Liv AlUla Jayco) and Sophie Edwards (SA / Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) will provide leadership within the squad, alongside fellow ProVelo Super League rider Alyssa Polites (VIC / Meridian Bike Bug).

Joining them are PSL SA Kick It rider Claudia Marcks (ACT / Canberra Cycling Club) and Felicity Wilson-Haffenden (TAS), who have earned selection for their first Commonwealth Games. Both riders have enjoyed impressive progression through the Australian cycling pathway and will relish the opportunity to represent Australia on one of the sport's biggest stages.

The sprint and para-cycling teams complete a strong Australian lineup, showcasing the depth of talent currently emerging across the country's cycling programs. Among the women selected, PSL rider Tara Neyland (VIC/ NSTRMO x Ccache x Attaquer) will make her Commonwealth Games debut.

For many riders, Commonwealth Games selection represents years of dedication, development, and hard work. It is fantastic to see several athletes who have competed in the ProVelo Super League earn the opportunity to wear the green and gold, whether as experienced international competitors or first-time Games representatives.

Congratulations to all riders selected.
