PSL Super Teams: Can Brennan be beaten?

After an incredible 2025 season, Team Brennan appears to have lifted to another level for 2026. Guided once again by the savant of Australian cycling, Tim Decker, they are off to a flying start with a win at the Australian National Road Championships in the Elite Men’s Road Race.

Much has been discussed about this race, but one thing is for sure and that is how strong, tactically astute and unified the boys in orange were. Only a week away from the first round of the ProVelo Super League it raises the question, can anyone challenge the defending champions?

With new additions to the team including Conor Leahy, Tynan Shannon, Tom Cornish and the newly minted national road champion Pat Eddy (and that’s only mentioning the elite aged riders!) the talent is clear. What impressed me most last year however, was their ability to rally around a collective goal and adapt to changing circumstances throughout the season.

No doubt other teams have learned from this and will put forward an immense amount of pressure. With so many eyeballs on the PSL there is a lot at stake and every win is hard fought. I don’t have any answers as to whether Team Brennan will take out the title again. but I’m very much looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us this year and how the rest of the league responds.
