Q Tour | Stage 1 SBS Women's League Recap

Setting off in front of a huge crowd at South Bank, the women set off with a ferocious intensity. The bunch was strung out from the gun, with riders losing contact and being ejected from the race nearly every lap.
The intermediate sprints were hotly contested amongst the riders with GC ambitions, with Alyssa Polites (Meridian Blue p/b 99 Bikes) securing two intermediate sprints and the three bonus seconds on offer for each.
The final sprint saw Merdian Blue take control early, before the Butterfields Ziptrak team came fast, setting up Odette Lynch. Lynch blasted out of the field to take a commanding win ahead of a fast finishing Amelie Sanders (ARA Skip Capital) and Meridian Blue’s Lauren Bates.
