Australia's elite road cycling league, the Hertz ProVelo Super League (PSL), is set to make its return to Canberra from 26-28 February 2027, with CDC Data Centres confirmed as the presenting partner of the Tour of Canberra for an initial three (3) year term, with the event to be known as the CDC Tour of Canberra. CDC has also come on board as a Major Partner and sponsor of the broader ProVelo Super League.

CDC is the largest developer, owner and operator of highly secure, sovereign and interconnected data centre infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. With its origins in Canberra, for over 19 years, CDC has provided digital infrastructure that underpins government services, national critical infrastructure and the digital economy. The company works closely with customers, industry partners, governments and local communities throughout the development and operational lifecycle of its facilities, with a focus on transparency, stakeholder engagement and delivering positive economic and community outcomes in the regions where it operates.

CDC Founder and CEO, Greg Boorer, commenting on the partnership announcement said

“CDC is proud to support an event that brings elite cycling, community participation and a pathway for emerging athletes together. While the Tour is firmly connected to Canberra, the broader ProVelo Super League has a national reach and reflects our commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate across Australia. We look forward to helping showcase Canberra and the region, while contributing to the continued growth of Australian cycling and providing opportunities for local athletes, families and organisations.”

Today, the league also revealed the full event schedule with four (4) stages to be hosted across three (3) days.

Stage 2 – Friday, February 26 (twilight) – Canberra City Criteriums

The league is also excited to announce Hands Across Canberra as the Official Charity Partner of the CDC Tour of Canberra for an initial three (3) year term, creating a long-term community legacy around the event. The partnership will align the CDC Tour of Canberra with the Canberra Day Appeal, bringing together elite sport and the community-focused work of Hands Across Canberra to encourage the community to get behind local causes and give where they live.  There will be a number of ways that the community can support the Canberra Day Appeal including a range of community bikes rides at Stromlo Forest Park on the Sunday program.

Hands Across Canberra CEO Genevieve Jacobs AM said “We are delighted to team up with the league for this exciting event. Hands Across Canberra is all about building a strong community and we know how much Canberra loves cycling. The partnership is a great opportunity to bring together the community, sport and business, while celebrating a wonderful Canberra pastime and doing good things together"

As a sign of the league’s commitment to building long term partnerships in the region, Canberra Business Chamber was also announced today as a strategic foundation partner of the CDC Tour of Canberra.   CEO Greg Harford said “Canberra Business Chamber is pleased to form a partnership with a new major event coming to Canberra.   It stimulates economic activity in region and road cycling is particularly exciting as it’s such a popular pastime time for professionals for health and wellness.  An elite sporting event of the calibre of the CDC Tour of Canberra provides a platform for industry to build relationships and leverage the event to promote our regional products and services.”

League Co-Founder, Aaron Flanagan added “Today is a fantastic milestone for the Hertz PSL.  We are committed to bringing elite road cycling back to capital cities and showcasing iconic destinations.  This tour has it all, and to have formed such strong long term local partnerships as we bring back this well-respected tour to the national calendar is exciting.  We are delighted to welcome CDC to our partner family as the tour’s Presenting Partner and as the Official Data Centre of the league.  We look forward to showcasing Canberra to our audiences in February”
