Q Tour | Stage 4 Queen's Stage SumUp Men's League Highlights
An incredibly aggressive start, an early move of 17 riders pushed up the road, which included GC leader Tynan Shannon who was looking to defend his lead with an offensive move.
The peloton, led by the Butterfields Ziptrak Racing team held the gap around 2 minutes behind the leaders, with their main rival team Brennan p/b TP32 seemingly happy to let the break win the stage to protect Jack Ward’s League lead.
This changed with 30km to go however, with Brennan coming to front with intent, mowing down the gap the breakaway. The big showdown on the climb started immediately, with Ward and Marriage going head to head.
Marriage was able to hold onto the wheel of Ward, but couldn’t match his acceleration on the sprint to the line. Ward surged ahead, taking an emphatic win while Marriage sealed the general classification behind.
