“I’m really excited to hear about the launch of the ProVelo Super League. I hope that it can breathe some new life into the Australian racing scene and help provide more opportunities for Australian cyclists dreaming to build their careers”

We are pumped to welcome Grace Brown as ProVelo Super League Ambassador.

Grace has claimed the National Championships Australia Individual Time Trial title four times since 2019. Her recent victories include winning Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes in April this year, as well as the Bretagne Ladies Tour CERATIZIT and the Santos Tour Down Under in 2023. Grace is highly regarded in the cycling community, renowned for her exceptional climbing and time trial skills!

Grace was a middle-distance track runner before clipping into bike pedals at the age of 23. “Growing up I was a competitive middle-distance track and cross-country runner, but constant injuries forced me to find another sport to pursue” Grace mentioned. Graces was hooked early on the sport of cycling and her competitive spirit pushed her through the Australian racing scene rapidly.

When asked about her favorite memories of racing in Australia, Grace said, “I loved the Tour of Mercy Valley in Tasmania.”

“It was always one of the toughest races on the NRS calendar and through such picturesque terrain. I remember in 2017 going head-to-head against Lucy Kennedy for the GC and realising for the first time that I could climb pretty well if I put my mind to it.”

Graces first professional spot in an international team came in 2018. “After finishing 3rd at the National championships and top 10 in both Tour Down Under and the Herald Sun Tour, I became the recipient of the Amy Gillet Foundation Scholarship. That year, the scholarship gave me a place on Rochelle Gilmore’s professional team, Wiggle High 5.”

“I only did a handful of races with the team, but it was technically my first contract before signing on with Mitchelton Scott in 2019.”

Due to the extensive overseas travel required by the sport, Grace mentioned that she misses her husband, family, friends, and the vibrant cafes and restaurants in Melbourne. We are excited to work with Grace throughout the ProVelo Super League racing calendar.
